Our Masterpiece

“Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will.” -unknown

Every time I have attempted to write my story I am saddened when I recall those many years of my youth, how my main goal in life was to go unnoticed, afraid I’d be hurt or damaged any further.  

My only desire was to coexist with the world but not to be any part of it. 

This fear kept me from not only achieving my dreams but actually living at all.  

I spent years unable to look at the image in the mirror staring back at me. 

Until one day, I came across the following quote,” Living in fear is just another way of dying before your time.” 

So, I looked at that image staring back at me, and saw that within each scar there is a story worth sharing. 

I came to realize that courage means you don’t let fear stop you and being afraid is a part of being alive.  

I’ve already created my masterpiece, for which I ‘ve already received countless of blessings. 

So, I write my story as only I can write it, with humility, complete transparency and forgiveness. 

My wish is that like me, my reader will also find in their masterpiece their courage, hope and voice.
