The referral list that they provided of Ophthalmologists who specialized in treatment options for diabetic retinopathy with macular edema that I unconsciously still held in my hand was now wet and unreadable.

The ambiance is beautiful and inviting.
My favorite spot to sit is next to the conference room where I have a full view of the environment. I enjoy and find comfort in the murmuring sounds and laughter of other writers and bookaholic regulars like me.
Amy’s beaming smile as she works on her novel is contagious and healing.
As the owner made his way towards me, I noticed he caught a glimpse of the blood that covered the Sclera in both my eyes, and I was grateful he made no mention of it.
“Evie, try a sample of my new blend, I call it Abuelita Latte,” he requested as he placed the cup in front of me.
The aroma of chocolate and cinnamon reminded me of my grandmother’s kitchen and her advice, “You will overcome, because you must, my love.”
“Angel, thank you, the aroma and taste took me back home to Mexico and to the precious memories of my time spent in Heaven on Earth,” his satisfying smile was endearing.
I opened my laptop as I whispered, thank you grandma and I was now ready to research and overcome.

That’s marvelous lady writer. I’m impressed. An overcomer you are indeed!
