I always had the power to choose my path. No one has that power but myself.

There are seasons in life when we hide—when we do not want to be seen, heard, or found. I chose to get lost on purpose, guarding my secrets. Living in a world capable of cruelty, where pain is sometimes traded like currency, I learned to carry regret and crave oblivion. I chose to be forgotten. I stopped imagining a future where my dreams came true.

For a long time, I existed voiceless and empty, wearing a smile like a mask while running out the clock, waiting for the end. I own those choices; I had my reasons.

Then came a shift. Your light reached inward and woke something up. In your eyes, I found my soul and a path back home. You showed me unconditional love, and the rhythm of your heart revived a dormant hope—a sudden, fierce desire to lift, protect, and empower you. Looking at you, I finally saw the worthy, beloved person you saw in me.

So I turned toward the light. I chose healing, forgiveness, peace, growth, and strength. I chose life. Above all, I chose to love you forever.  You became the reason everything else made sense- the only reason that truly matters.
